Fingerplay not only entertains the kids but also plays an important role in kids' development. Decorating A Christmas Tree

Christmas is around the corner! It's time to gear up for festive preparation and activities. Be young or old, the most joyful festive activity among all is decorating a Christmas Tree. So go shopping and pick the most beautiful Christmas tree ornaments and decorate the tree along with your friends and family.  Candy canes, garland, baubles bells, stockings, gifts, silver string, star etc., there are plenty of  decoration items to beautify the tree! 

Christmas tree is a beautifully decorated tree, most commonly an evergreen conifer such as pine, spruce and sometimes an artificial tree. It is associated with the most awaited festival, Christmas. The tree has been also known as the “Yule-tree”. It was traditionally decorated with apples, nuts and other edibles. But later in the 18th century, people started using candles to illuminate the tree and further these candles were replaced by Christmas lights.  

In the modern world, trees are decorated with various ornaments such as baubles, garlands, tinsel, candy canes, stockings and many more. Some people also tie edibles items such as Gingerbread, chocolate and other sweets to the tree's branches with ribbons. Handcrafted Xmas ornaments and  baubles are also gaining popularity and are used for the tree decoration. At the top of tree, an angel or star is placed, which represents the archangel Gabriel or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity.

A Tale of Miss Muffet And Naughty Spider in Little Miss Muffet

Little Miss Muffet” is one of the best-known nursery rhymes and children's songs, printed in the mid-twentieth century. The rhyme is popular among the preschoolers and kids all over the world. A song is about a young girl, Miss Muffet and the dreadful fright she had while sitting on a tuffet. Miss Muffet sits on a tuffet and enjoys feasting on her favorite curd. Suddenly, a spider comes and poor Muffet gets scared and all her curd is spilled on the floor.

Origin of the song
The nursery rhyme first appeared in a book, Songs for the Nursery, in the year 1805. Origin of the rhyme is not known till date. Some claims it was composed by Dr Thomas Muffet, an English physician and entomologist, regarding his stepdaughter Patience. While few claims that the song refers to the queen of Scots (1543-87), Mary, who is believed to have been frightened by religious reformer John Knox (1510–72).

Mary Had a Little Lamb, A Tale Of Young Girl

Mary Had a Little Lamb" is a popular English nursery rhyme, dating back to nineteenth-century. The rhyme was written by Sarah Josepha Hale, who was inspired by an actual incident related to a young girl named, Mary Sawyer. It was first published by the Boston publishing firm Marsh, Capen & Lyon, on May 24, 1830.

“Mary Had a Little Lamb” is an endearing tale of a young girl, Mary Sawyer and her pet lamb. It is a beloved song about a girl whose lamb follows her wherever she goes. Two competing theories are related to the origin of the rhyme. As per one of the theories, it is believed that John Roulstone composed the first four lines and that the final twelve lines were written by Sarah Josepha Hale. While the other theory holds that Sarah Josepha Hale had composed the entire rhyme.
