Christmas tree is a beautifully decorated tree, most commonly an evergreen conifer such as pine, spruce and sometimes an artificial tree. It is associated with the most awaited festival, Christmas. The tree has been also known as the “Yule-tree”. It was traditionally decorated with apples, nuts and other edibles. But later in the 18th century, people started using candles to illuminate the tree and further these candles were replaced by Christmas lights.

Some people also tie edibles items such as Gingerbread, chocolate and other sweets to the tree's branches with ribbons. At the top of tree, an angel or star is placed, which represents the archangel Gabriel or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity.
